Lisa Morris Awarded GLSHF Scholarship
Congratulations, Lisa Morris! Lisa is one of thirteen awardees of the health-focused scholarships from the Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation in 2019. Her award was for $5,000.
Lisa says, "As I enter my fourth year of medical school, I am excited to pursue a career in Dermatology, with interest specifically in skin cancer and chemotherapy-associated dermatologic conditions. Working with cancer patients has been a long-time goal of mine, and I was excited to find a field that combined the clinical and surgical skills required to cure and care for patients with skin cancer. I am immensely grateful for the support of the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation over the last few years of my medical school journey. Their encouragement has inspired me to investigate multiple specialties, along with international and national opportunities. I am excited to represent Lee’s Summit as a physician (soon!)."
Since 2003, GLSHF has granted more than $1.4 million in scholarships or grants to a multitude of awardees designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
