Since 2003, GLSHF has granted
more than $1.4 million
to a multitude of projects designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.

GLSHF partners with local public charities to fund grants for projects in the areas of:

• Education

• Public Training Programs

• Programs in Schools

• Clinics for indigent care

• Equipment

Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation

SCHOLARSHIPS

 

The Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation is also committed to ensuring that education in the medical disciplines is accessible to our residents.  Each year the Foundation will award scholarships to area residents to support their academic studies leading to healthcare careers.

Multiple scholarships are awarded, up to a maximum of $8,000 per year, to support studies in the following areas:

​

• Medical School              

• Pharmacy School

• Nursing School              

• Other allied healthcare fields

Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation is dedicated to promoting health and well-being in the Lee’s Summit area.

 

Every year, GLSHF partners with local organizations who are making a positive—and healthy—impact on the community.

The Grant Cycle for new applications is open now for local nonprofits with health-focused programs to apply for funding.  The deadline to apply is October 31st each year. Awardees will be announced the following January.

The Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation is here to assist the community in living a healthier lifestyle.

​

The Foundation was formed as a result of the sale of a local non-profit hospital.  The mission of the GLSHF is to enhance the health and well-being of the community.  The Foundation will manage the funds entrusted to it to ensure perpetuity of the funds and achieve the mission of the Foundation.
