Claire Poague Awarded GLSHF Scholarship
Congratulations, Claire Poague! Claire is one of thirteen awardees of the health-focused scholarships from the Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation in 2019. Her award was for $5,000.
Claire says, "I’m about to enter my final year of classes for a Master of Science in Nursing-Organizational Leadership and a Master of Health Services Administration at The University of Kansas. After graduation, I would like to pursue an administrative fellowship or work in nursing management at an academic medical center. My ultimate goal is to someday become a Chief Nursing Officer. The GLSHF scholarship is making it possible for me to work part time so I can really focus my attention on my studies. I am so grateful for the scholarship provided by the GLSHF and hope I will be able to graduate debt free because of this assistance!"
Since 2003, GLSHF has granted more than $1.4 million in scholarships or grants to a multitude of awardees designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
