Rachel Plate Awarded GLSHF Scholarship
Congrats to Rachel Plate! The Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation is celebrating the 2018 scholarship awards given to 12 local health-focused students, who included Rachel. She is the awardee of a $5000 GLSHF scholarship.
Rachel says, "I am honored to be a recipient of the GLSHF scholarship. It is encouraging to know that this foundation and Lee’s Summit community continue to be so supportive of young people’s dreams to pursue a career in healthcare. As I enter my final year of medical school, I am excited to take advantage of the opportunity to work at some of the best emergency medicine training programs in the country. Without the financial support of GLSHF scholarship, this would not have been possible. Following graduation, I will be a resident physician in emergency medicine."
Since 2003, GLSHF has granted more than $1.3 million in scholarships or grants to a multitude of awardees designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
