Lisa Morris Awarded GLSHF Scholarship
Congratulations to Lisa Morris!
Lisa is the recipient of one of the 12 local health-focused scholarships from the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation. Her 2018 award was for $5000.
Lisa says, "As I begin my third year of training, I am excited for my clinical experiences to help me narrow down exactly which type of physician I wish to become. As of right now, I see myself being heavily involved in the care of cancer patients. Whether that is managing chemotherapy or surgically operating on a tumor, I would be humbled to be part of the support system that a patient can turn to when facing such a scary diagnosis. I am so thankful to have such a strong support system myself, especially the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation for their generous encouragement."
Since 2003, GLSHF has granted more than $1.3 million in scholarships or grants to a multitude of awardees designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
