Brittany Kendall Awarded GLSHF Scholarship
Congrats to Brittany Kendall!
Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation is celebrating the 2018 scholarship awards given to 12 local health-focused students, who included Brittany. Brittany is an awardee of a $5,000 GLSHF scholarship.
Brittany says, "My future aspirations are to graduate with my BSN from the University of Central Missouri and be a nurse in labor and delivery, by providing excellent healthcare for the Lee’s Summit Community. I was born and raised in this city, and it has given me amazing opportunities through school, sports, and friendships/relationships I have made along my way. This scholarship means a number of things to me that I can not put into words. It has provided financial support by allowing me to to focus on my current academics, and it has allowed me to explore the option of starting my masters in the near future. Additionally, it gives me emotional support knowing that I have the members of the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation believing in me to make a difference in my community through my nursing career."
Since 2003, GLSHF has granted more than $1.3 million in scholarships or grants to a multitude of awardees designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
