Jason Egberuare Awarded GLSHF Scholarship
Congratulations to Jason Egberuare!
The Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation is celebrating the 2018 scholarship awards given to 12 local health-focused students, who included Jason, the recipient of a $5000 award.
Jason says, "My professional aspiration is to develop into a physician and individualthat is well-versed in the ways that I can positively impact my patients and community. I currently ampursuing this goal through the combined six-year B.A/MD route at UMKC, which provided me thisopportunity immediately after high school. The financial contribution provided by the Greater Lee’sSummit Healthcare Foundation was a tremendous help, I immediately utilized it to eliminate nearly 2/3of my current summer tuition costs. It was a wonderful moment seeing the congratulations email andrealizing that in addition to the individuals that believed in my educational pursuits, both at Lee’s Summit North and UMKC, the GLSHF scholarship committee believed my efforts worthy to support also."
Since 2003, GLSHF has granted more than $1.3 million in scholarships or grants to a multitude of awardees designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
