Kailin Cordes Awarded Scholarship
CONGRATULATIONS! Kailin Cordes is one of eleven awardees of the health-focused scholarships from the Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation. Her award was for $5,000.
Kailin is attending Baker University’s School of Nursing based out of Topeka, KS starting in the Fall of 2017. She says, "I am beyond thankful for the generosity of the Lee’s Summit Healthcare foundation for financially assisting in my dream of becoming a nurse. With the help of this generous scholarship, I plan on attending Baker’s Nursing School the next two years where I will eventually earn my RN and BSN. From there, I wish to work in the Emergency Room or the Intensive Care Unit within a hospital located close to my home in Lee’s Summit. My ultimate goal is to pursue further education in the field of anesthesia in hopes of reaching my lifelong dream of becoming a CRNA."
Since 2004, GLSHF has granted more than $1.2 million to a multitude of projects designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
