Claire Poague Awarded GLSHF Scholarship
Congratulations to Claire Poague!
The Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation is celebrating the 2018 scholarship awards given to 12 local health-focused students, who included Claire. She is an awardee of a $5,000 GLSHF scholarship.
Claire shares her story: "I am currently obtaining my Master of Science in Nursing-Organizational Leadership and my Master of Health Services Administration at The University of Kansas Medical Center. After graduation I would like to pursue an administrative fellowship at an academic medical center. My ultimate goal is to someday become a Chief Nursing Officer. Administrative fellowships are highly competitive and the GLSHF scholarship is making it possible for me to work part time so I can really focus my attention on my studies. I am so grateful for the scholarship provided by the GLSHF and believe I will be able to graduate debt free because of their assistance!"
Since 2003, GLSHF has granted more than $1.3 million in scholarships or grants to a multitude of awardees designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
